This life drawing is from a few years ago when I was studying art at GMIT, Castlebar. Figure drawing is something I plan to start doing again if there are classes/courses closer to Achill than Castlebar. The Journey Begins (or starts again!)

One of my New Year's Resolutions this year was a promise to myself that I would begin painting again, and drawing in charcoal. I began studying for an art diploma at GMIT, Castlebar here in Co. Mayo and dropped out after a year having developed a liking for abstract expressionism painting and figure drawing in charcoal in a calligraphic style.
The trouble is that since then, apart from a few paintings, and because I have applied my time to writing and photography moreso, I have largely not painted nor drawn. So, I am hoping this blog will kickstart me.
